Safety Management Systems has long been required by foreign aviation regulators. Dominion Aviation realizes the postive attributes Safety Management Systems have for its orginization and has committed to dedicating resources to the Safety Management System for years despite not being required by the Federal Aviation Administration.
Dominion Aviation has strived towards accreditation to the Aviation Resource Group (ARG/US) Platinum Audit Standards. This organization is recognized as providing one of the top independent audits in the United States and its requirements far exceed government regulatory oversight.
The process for accreditation involved permitting small teams of aviation management professionals to explore the way in which we conduct our business in every aspect of operations, safety, flight, recruitment, training, scheduling, in-flight performance and maintenance. Anyone familiar with ISO 9000 will appreciate the scope and depth of the examination to which we opened up our business. Accreditation was not easy and furthermore, we must continue to perform to the same standards of excellence to retain our credentials with both organizations.
Dominion Aviation is ARG/US Platinum Rated. Out of the approximately 2,400 certified charter companies in the United States, there are only 88 that hold the prestigious Platinum Rating.
